Research on Damage Mechanism and Performance-Based Design Process of Reinforced Concrete Column Members

In order to understand the seismic damage assessment of reinforced concrete column members, coupling relationship between capacity degradation and accumulated hysteretic energy displacement history was considered. The energy-based index under random variable amplitude loading proposed. On basis preliminary research, corresponding construction member parameters established, mechanism analyzed according index, then performance-based design process It found that increase in stirrup ratio can slow down damage, slowing effect initially fast slows. When reinforcement is doubled, decreased by 0.063. longer earthquake duration was, more serious this phenomenon obvious when ductility coefficient larger. With coefficient, continuously increased. Therefore, it an effective way decrease controlling coefficient. Among all influencing factors, fundamental period intensity contributed significantly indicators.
